Week 8 Progress

(We Can Do It: Public Domain Pictures)

I like the way I have been completing the assignments. To me, the work in this class is very light-hearted, and grades are not on the line, so it is easier to take risks with my writing. And for that enjoyment, I try to save these assignments to do when I want to take a break from my other class work. I do not really give myself deadlines in this class because I do not need any more stress from due dates. My laid back approach has been good for this class.

Week 8 Comments and Feedback

(How To Craft Constructive Feedback: Jenn Gibb's Invisible Sun)

For me, I think the best feedback I can get is creative feedback. I have a hard time getting those juices flowing, so I really appreciate when other students give me advice that can better the content of my story. Since I lack the creative aspect, I tend to be more understanding if a story does not wow me, and the feedback I primarily leave is more grammatical, organizational, and delivery style. I do like how I am getting to connect with different students in this class. It reminds me of the diversity at this university, which is always a good thing.

Week 8 Reading and Writing

I am very happy with the layout and visual presentation of my blog. I mentioned at the beginning of the semester that I made this blog a long time ago but never used it for anything, and my taste has definitely stayed the same. I am also satisfied with the stories I have been writing. I do want to try different writing styles and new plot twists, but I think for someone that does not excel in writing, I am doing a pretty good job so far. Also, I think my reading notes have been helping me keep track of what stories I have come up with and would like to write. With a class that has pretty lengthy readings, it sometimes can get confusing, but I think I have my strategy down.
